be put off by this as they output twice the sound quality. These are fantastic for
both music and movies with their 4.5 inch midrange drivers. This set comes equipped
with an eight inch subwoofer that has a convenient volume control. This set has
to be one of the best on the market due to its versatility and high quality for
the money.
Energy RC-Micro 5.1 Home Theater Speaker System
The Micro 5.1 home theater
speaker system is the best offering from Energy to date and offers superb quality
as well as value. At a highly affordable $1000, this system will appeal to many
keen consumers looking for great value without compromising on quality. Aluminum
tweeters are used together with a slightly larger center channel speaker which just
has the one woofer. The speakers have a handy keyhole mount at the back of them
to offer an ease of installation. We found a slight disadvantage that the bass couldn’t
really hold its own in a large room.
Mirage Nanosat 5.1 Home Theater System
The Mirage Nanosat speaker are incredible
value at around $800 and with its reflective technology, its hard to pin point exactly
where the sound is coming from so you get a brilliant soundstage for movies. As
the set doesn’t have a dedicated center channel, five satellites are housed with
a 2 3/4 inch mid-bass driver and ¾ inch tweeter. This system has to be one of the
most affordable on the market and you’d be hard-pressed to find a better system
for the money.
KEF KHT2005.3 5.1-Channel Home Theater Speaker System
At $1000, the KEF KHT2005
offers some of the finest quality indeed making it a great deal for just $1000.
It has a 200 watt subwoofer that has a tuning feature and offers a super sound at
low frequencies. There are very good tweeters that are mounted within the woofers
that provide a far more accurate reconstruction of sound. With a decent receiver,
these speakers work best and make listening pure pleasure. The set really would
make a great addition to any home theater system.
Klipsch HD Theater 500 High Definition 5.1 Speaker System
Don’t be put off
by the $600 as this is certainly not a cheap sounding set. Ideal for most mid-sized
rooms this highly affordable system offers the quality found on much higher end
systems. The midrange of these speakers provide some of the clearest audio in this
price making it very much in the running against much higher spec’d sets.
